Peter Ransley

Born in Leeds, Yorkshire, December 10, 1931. Educated at Pudsey Grammar School, Yorkshire, 1942-49; Queen Mary College, University of London, 1950-52. Married 1) Hazel Rew in 1955 (divorced 1970); 2) Cynthia Harris in 1974, one son. Journalist, social worker, and development manager of a publishing company, then freelance writer. Recipient: First Commonwealth Film and TV Festival Gold medal, 1980.
